Chloe, Mia and Lois had had a great time shopping and although they hadn't managed to buy any Christmas gifts and she was nowhere closer to figuring out what to get Ollie, she had gotten herself some more pregnancy-friendly clothes, dresses and flat shoes as well as some leggings that she could wear when her jeans stopped fitting her completely and she wasn't big enough for pregnancy clothes yet.

She smiled a little when she saw the lights on as she walked into the apartment, "Ollie?" She called, carrying her bags inside as she dropped her purse and keys over the kitchen counter.
chloesullivan: (Knowing smile)
Chloe had been sitting on the couch, watching Oliver as he moved around the apartment for about... fifteen minutes now. He had listed everything they had on the kitchen for her to see if anything sounded appetizing, he had listed all the menus, had offered to send Bart anywhere in the world to pick up food for her, and now he was trying to think of something else, so he was pacing around, it was making her a little dizzy, if she was honest.

When she thought about the possibility of getting pregnant, she always assumed it would be her freaking out, and him sitting on the couch, watching her then comforting her, and she guessed her assumption would would have been correct if the circumstances had been different, but as it was, she was the one who was going to have to keep it cool until she got him to relax and oddly enough, she felt pretty confident she could do that at the moment.

"Ollie?" She called finally, sitting up a little.
chloesullivan: (Shy smile)
They made it back to the Watchtower in no time and once they made sure Mia and Michael weren't going anywhere, they made their way to their floor, where Lois took the guest room Mia had been sleeping in when she was little and Chloe and Oliver made their way to their own room.

She took a deep breath as they made their way inside, walking slowly because of the cuts on her feet, she was incredibly relieved to be home, even more relieved that they were all okay, but they still had so much to talk about and to process, she wasn't even thinking about sleeping, no matter how exhausted her body was, her brain was going miles a minute.

"You have no idea how much I missed this bed," she told him quietly, mostly to get the conversation started, because if she was honest, she was a little nervous about finally being alone with him, she knew they had some difficult topics to discuss.
chloesullivan: (Scared/worried)
Chloe sighed deeply as Bart left and slowly walked over to the bed in the examination room, she had sent Bart back right away, even if most of the dangerous inmates were gone, a lot of the patients were still there and the Belle Reve staff would need all the help it could get to get everyone under control.

Wincing, she sat down and pulled her bare feet up, making a face as she analyzed all the cuts in it, running however many miles barefoot on a highway wasn't exactly smart, but her feet were the least of her worries at the moment.

She still when she heard the elevator getting to the floor and looked down at herself, she was a mess, dirty and still in the blue uniform she'd been given, but at least there was no blood or anything that could scare him when he first saw her. At least she looked nothing like he had the last time she'd seen him.

Chloe may not be there, but the mail still comes to the Watchtower daily and today, amongst the advertisement and bills, two items can be found. Items that were bought in advance and were supposed to be hastily wrapped in green stripped paper that is hidden in the back of her closet before the surprise dinner party she'd been planning to throw him.

One of the items is in an envelop, it's addressed to Chloe, but inside, there are two tickets for the Star City Opera for November 6th. If she was there, she'd watch him open the gift and make a joke about how it was pointless to buy him plane tickets since he owned his own plane, but that she wanted him to visit his home town since it had been a while.

The second item is in a box and it's not much, but it always made her smile when she looked at it. It's a framed picture of the two of them, her favorite picture of the two of them. In the picture, she has her arms around him and is looking up at him while he grins down at her, his arms also around her and although she couldn't remember what was so amusing at the time, they both looked so incredibly happy, she couldn't stop herself from choosing that one.

And if she was there, she would just watch him as he opened that box and pay close attention to the look on his face. She's not there, however, but wherever she is, hopefully the gifts will remind him that she's thinking of him on his birthday.

After the tips Tess gave her, Chloe gathered as much information as she could. Rick Flag was apparently dead, but according to Tess, this organization he worked for was off the books and anyone could fake their own death, she had done it herself when she was sixteen.

She had spent hours watching )

Graduation had been over a month ago, but only now they were making their way to New York. Chloe had wanted to make sure she was putting enough time at the Planet and was in good with her editor before requesting the time off. She also wanted to make sure she wasn't gone when there was a possibility for a promotion.

Oliver had been patient, but so once she gave him the dates she could be gone for, it took him less than an hour to throw the trip together and give her times and where they'd be staying.

And now there they were, the plane had just landed about five minutes ago and they were gathering their things, Chloe placed her laptop inside it's bag and looked over at him, "so what are we doing first?" She asked, not bothering to hide her excitement. She'd never been to the city before and she was looking forward to exploring it.

The Queens and Mia had been out most of the day, they had lunch with Lois and Clark, then went to the movies and made their way to the park for ice cream. After that and on the way home, they stopped to pick up dinner at the kids' favorite fast-food place and once everyone had eaten and made their way into the living room, Chloe sneaked upstairs to check on the reason why they'd planned a full day of activities with the kids.

It looked exactly like she imagined. For weeks now, she and Ollie had been picking and ordering furniture for one of the guest rooms, they ordered everything necessary, from wallpaper to lamps and even towels for the connecting bathroom and thanks to Bart and Clark, who joined the younger man after lunch, the room had been put together in less than six hours.

With a deep breath, she walked over to the top of the stairs, not surprised to see her husband was already on his way up there to check on it too, "it's perfect," she told him, smiling before calling out towards the living room, where she could hear Lea telling Noah why they should watch what she wanted, "Mia? Can you come here for a minute?"

To the best father I could ever ask for my children, the best husband I could ever imagine having and the only person I would ever agree to procreate with.

This, and two frames, one with this and one with this.

Thank you for changing our lives. We love you.

Lea and Chloe.

A couple of days after Michael's possession incident, Chloe was still doing her best to find out everything she could on the subject, she had gone back to the Winchester novels and had highlighted information that seemed real and now she was sitting on the couch of their apartment, laptop on her lap as she researched some more.

She really wanted to ask the Winchester about the protection amulets they had mentioned so she was planning on giving them a call in the near future, but she didn't want to seem completely uneducated on the subject when they spoke and on top of that, she was making a list of things she could ask because she didn't want to miss any important details.
chloesullivan: (HBIC)
To say she was disappointed when Oliver called canceling their date was an understatement, sure, it was better than just being stood up with no way of calling him and asking him where he was since they hadn't exchanged numbers yet, and she knew he had to go through some trouble to track her down since he had called her cellphone and not her work number, but still... she was looking forward to having some company.

Either way, she still went to the play, she wasn't about to change her plans just because he wasn't going to make it and the theater was close enough to her so with a pair of flats, she was able to just walk there.

While the play had been interesting, she still wished things had played out differently but at least now she could go home and do some work.
chloesullivan: (looking down)
Chloe sighed softly as she looked out of the window of the Watchtower, leaning against the wall. Everything was quiet, still, just like it had been that day one year ago.

She had been standing there for a long time, her legs felt stiff, so she shifted a little and rubbed a hand over her face, standing there for just a moment longer before pushing herself away from the wall and walking over to the small bar and pouring herself a drink before walking over to the couch and sitting down with a sigh.

With a sip of the whiskey Oliver usually left there, 'for long nights' according to him, she leaned back against the couch and closed her eyes. She knew she should go downstairs to their apartment, where Ollie was probably waiting for her, but she felt like she needed some more time in the top floor of the Watchtower.
chloesullivan: (Worried leaning on elbows)
It had been a very long day since Chloe got the phone call from Mia, Ollie had stayed at home with the kids and she had spend the night and the following day in the hospital with Mia. Once the little girl's dehydration wasn't a problem anymore, her broken arm had been stabilized, and the police had collected all the evidence they could, Chloe was able to take Mia home.

Times like this, Chloe didn't feel bad about using her last name to get things to go the way she wanted, there was just no way she would allow Mia to go to an orphanage or yet another place where she'd be uncomfortable, so she insisted on bringing her home with her.

"We're here," Chloe told Mia as she pulled into the driveway, glancing at her on the rear-view mirror.

Chloe's eyes narrowed and moved her legs further apart, focusing on the object in front of her as she adjusted her fingers and the tape over her knuckles, pulling her arm back and shifting her weight on her feet before starting the routine she had just learned, punching with her right hook, then left, doing a turn and kneeling the punching bag just above her own hip height.

She took a deep breath once the sequence was over and looked over at her instructor, raising her eyebrows and waiting for the feedback.
chloesullivan: (Texting)
Ten minutes into the meeting, assuming you weren't late, bored yet?
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - typing)
After her talk with Michael, Chloe had been trying her best to find some kind of record that could tell her that Michael's dad and uncle were actually alive.

She had found a lot of information on them, nothing after the date of the helicopter crash, but she was going to keep looking, because she didn't want to disappoint Michael like that.

Chloe had no idea how long she had been looking, since she was alone in the Watchtower, she wasn't exactly paying attention to the time, but she figure it must have been a few hours at least because her eyes were starting to get tired.
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - researching)
While she waited for Ollie to get home, Chloe stayed in her office, researching as much as she could on ways to help Mia. J'onn still worked at the police station, so she figured that they could talk to him sometime after the kids went to bed and see what he thought would be the best thing to do.

She was determined not to let anything else happen to Mia. It was bad enough that she hadn't done something the first time around, she wasn't going to let it happen again.

Chloe paused and looked up from her computer when she heard all three sets of feet running down the hallway and making their way down the stairs with her daughter announcing 'Daddy is home!' loudly.

With a deep breath, she shut off her computer screen and stood up, making her way to the garage to help Ollie with the groceries.
