Quiet conversation with dl_greenarrow

A couple of days after Michael's possession incident, Chloe was still doing her best to find out everything she could on the subject, she had gone back to the Winchester novels and had highlighted information that seemed real and now she was sitting on the couch of their apartment, laptop on her lap as she researched some more.

She really wanted to ask the Winchester about the protection amulets they had mentioned so she was planning on giving them a call in the near future, but she didn't want to seem completely uneducated on the subject when they spoke and on top of that, she was making a list of things she could ask because she didn't want to miss any important details.

Oliver watched her from the entry way that separated their living room from the kitchen, his eyes worried. He knew her well enough to know that she was freaked out. One of the first things she did when she was freaked out was to research. To learn more, to know what they were up against.

"Chloe?"

Chloe paused when he called her name and lifted her head, looking over at him, a small smile automatically appearing on her lips, "yeah?"

"You've been at the research awhile now. Maybe you should take a little break? Eat some lunch," he suggested.

She looked down at the laptop again and blew out a breath, "I could eat," she agreed reluctantly, she really didn't want to stop, but she knew she'd worry him if she didn't, "there is just so much we don't know..."

"I know, Chloe." His voice was soft. He moved over to sit down beside her on the sofa, carefully picking up the laptop and setting it on the coffee table. "It's always going to be that way. There's always going to be something or someone we don't know or understand enough. But Michael's okay. We're all okay."

"We are now, Ollie," she shook her head a little and pursed her lips together, dropping her hands to her lap, "but we need to stop that from happening again, and if this... supernatural stuff is going to be a part of our lives now, we need to know how to deal with it, what if the Winchesters aren't available next time around?"

He nodded a little. "I agree. Which is why I think we should meet with them. Get a crash course in demon possession." He paused. "Intellectually only this time."

Chloe sighed at the smile but returned the kiss, like she could argue with that, it really wasn't fair, "what are you doing while I nap, though? I mean the call will only last a few minutes..."

"Well, maybe I'll just sneak in and nap with you." He grinned again, happy she hadn't argued the point.

"Let's just order something," she told him, taking a deep breath and rubbing her eyes with her free hand, "I don't want you to have to make anything."

"In other words, Ollie needs to find new things to cook," he said with amusement, kissing her temple. "What sounds good? Chinese? Pizza? Deli?"

Chloe rolled her eyes a little and shook her head, "you know I love everything you make," she told him, growing serious again, "I just think we have more important things to focus on and Chinese sounds good."

"Yes, more important things to focus on like eating and taking a nap," he agreed just as seriously, giving her a knowing look as he rose to his feet. "Chinese it is."

"Chloe," he whispered, pressing a kiss to the corner of her mouth.

"I'm here," she whispered back without opening her eyes, managing for the first time in days to focus on him and only on him.

Oliver swallowed hard, shifting against her. "I want you."

Chloe moaned a little as she could feel him pressing against her even through his pants and her dress, "you have me."

He dropped his head against her shoulder, then yanked her dress up with one hand, tugging her underwear down without hesitation.

Not wanting to waste any time, she pulled his shirt off of him quickly too and once he was done removing her clothes, she reached to undo his pants, her gaze going back to his face as she took a deep breath, "I need you, Ollie," she told him, meaning a lot more by her words than just the growing physical need she was feeling at the moment.

He paused. "Or how we would," he said softly, tucking some hair behind her ear.

Chloe swallowed and nodded, sighing softly, "us too," she told him, "I just want us to have a break, which is why I wanted us to go away for a couple of weeks, but things keep coming up."

He brushed a kiss against her temple. "We'll take one. When Mia gets back. The four of us."

She closed her eyes again and nodded a little, "hopefully Michael's leg will be better by then."

Oliver nodded, shifting closer to her and stroking her hair gently. "If not, we'll figure something out."

With a soft sigh, she looked at him for a moment then leaned in, kissing him softly before pulling back slightly, "thank you."
