Quiet conversation with dl_greenarrow

A couple of days after Michael's possession incident, Chloe was still doing her best to find out everything she could on the subject, she had gone back to the Winchester novels and had highlighted information that seemed real and now she was sitting on the couch of their apartment, laptop on her lap as she researched some more.

She really wanted to ask the Winchester about the protection amulets they had mentioned so she was planning on giving them a call in the near future, but she didn't want to seem completely uneducated on the subject when they spoke and on top of that, she was making a list of things she could ask because she didn't want to miss any important details.

"That's the plan," he murmured, sliding onto the sofa beside her, wrapping his arms around her once more and pressing a kiss to her forehead.

Chloe wrapped her arm around him as she laid her head on his arm, pressing a kiss to his shoulder and letting out a deep breath, "I'm sorry I'm... freaking out."

Oliver was quiet for a moment, rubbing her back gently. "I know this is hard," he whispered, resting his head against hers. "And I know you didn't exactly sign up for all of it."

She closed her eyes, leaning into him a little more and relaxing slightly, "I did, Ollie, I chose this life just as much as you did."

He smoothed his fingers lightly down her spine. "I meant the...unexpected responsibilities," he admitted.

Shivering slightly at his touch, she shook her head and let out a breath, "neither did you, not really."

Chloe opened her eyes and looked up at him, "but it's the right thing to do and I love Mia and Michael and I would feel responsible for them regardless; I'm just frustrated that they keep getting hurt."

Oliver gazed back at her, nodding a little. "I kind of did," he said softly. "At least with Mia." He smiled faintly. "But I know what you mean. It is frustrating. That feeling of helplessness."

He was quiet for a moment, watching her. "It's scary." His voice was very quiet.

She nodded, sighing softly and brushing her fingers over his cheek, "it is," she agreed quietly.

"I just kept thinking about how we were going to tell Michael's mom if something did happen to him and how Mia would be able to get over losing someone she loves again."
