chloesullivan: (Mouth hanging open)
Chloe had spent most of the day in the Watchtower, she hadn't realized that all the work after the benefit would be as intense as preparing it. She had collected all the donations and now she was working remotely with a couple of people from Queen Industries as well as Emil and Mia's doctor to start implementing the money into equipment and staff.

The work would be rewarding, she knew as much, but even though she was a very fast learner, there was a lot for her to learn and understand and she wanted to make sure every decision was thought out and as close to perfect as it could be. That in itself wouldn't normally be a problem, but the further into her pregnancy she went, the more uncomfortable the chairs in the Watchtower seemed to get and the less she was able to focus.

All in all, it had been a long day and she was glad when she got out of the elevator on their floor that she could hear noises coming from within the apartment as well as the amazing smell of Ollie's cooking. She was absolutely starving and maybe it was just her imagination or even wishful thinking, but she could swear it smelled like lasagna.

With a deep breath, she opened the door, "Oll--" she was about to call out for him when she stilled. The entire apartment was covered in tulips and candles, the dining room table had been set and on top of it, there was definitely a huge lasagna. Her eyes were wide in surprise and she knew Ollie owed her a very expensive date for the auction, but she'd been hoping he would at least give her some heads up for it so she could dress up properly and not just wear what she wore the most these days: whatever fit and felt comfortable, like the long dress she had on now.
chloesullivan: (Oliver - sitting close)
Once Mia was settled and Mike was in there with her, Chloe looked around the apartment for Oliver, but when she didn't find him in the living room or kitchen, she made her way to their bedroom and sighed softly when she saw him sitting on the bed.

Swallowing hard, she closed the door quietly behind herself and walked over to him, silently sitting down next to him and sliding her hand in his.
chloesullivan: (looking up)
"Can you see it?" Chloe asked impatiently as Emil rubbed the ultrasound device against her swollen stomach, she had her fingers wrapped tightly around Oliver's hand as she watched the small monitor next to the bed.

They were supposed to be finding out the gender of the baby today, but she knew that sometimes, depending on the angle the baby was in, it wasn't always possible to see what was going on. She just hoped Emil was able to figure it out, she had been anxiously waiting for today, she simply couldn't wait to find out.
chloesullivan: (Unsure)
From here.

Chloe made it to the Daily Planet from the Watchtower in record time. To say she was nervous about talking to herself was a huge understatement. If she was honest, she was a little intimidated by this version of herself; she had been through a lot, losing the love of her life, raising three children then having Michael kind of vanish from her world.

In a way, it was comforting to know that she had gone through all of that and had managed to see the other side, but Chloe didn't want her thinking she was much weaker than her or anything like that. At the same time, however, she had so many questions because she knew there was a lot she could potentially learn from her other, older self.

She recognized her instantly, not surprisingly, she supposed. Her back was to her but her hair was still the same color and about the same style, except the other woman was wearing hers straight and it seemed to be a little longer than her own.

Pursing her lips together, she took a few steps forward, "Chloe?" She called awkwardly.
chloesullivan: (soft smile)
Chloe, Mia and Lois had had a great time shopping and although they hadn't managed to buy any Christmas gifts and she was nowhere closer to figuring out what to get Ollie, she had gotten herself some more pregnancy-friendly clothes, dresses and flat shoes as well as some leggings that she could wear when her jeans stopped fitting her completely and she wasn't big enough for pregnancy clothes yet.

She smiled a little when she saw the lights on as she walked into the apartment, "Ollie?" She called, carrying her bags inside as she dropped her purse and keys over the kitchen counter.
chloesullivan: (Knowing smile)
Chloe had been sitting on the couch, watching Oliver as he moved around the apartment for about... fifteen minutes now. He had listed everything they had on the kitchen for her to see if anything sounded appetizing, he had listed all the menus, had offered to send Bart anywhere in the world to pick up food for her, and now he was trying to think of something else, so he was pacing around, it was making her a little dizzy, if she was honest.

When she thought about the possibility of getting pregnant, she always assumed it would be her freaking out, and him sitting on the couch, watching her then comforting her, and she guessed her assumption would would have been correct if the circumstances had been different, but as it was, she was the one who was going to have to keep it cool until she got him to relax and oddly enough, she felt pretty confident she could do that at the moment.

"Ollie?" She called finally, sitting up a little.
chloesullivan: (Shy smile)
They made it back to the Watchtower in no time and once they made sure Mia and Michael weren't going anywhere, they made their way to their floor, where Lois took the guest room Mia had been sleeping in when she was little and Chloe and Oliver made their way to their own room.

She took a deep breath as they made their way inside, walking slowly because of the cuts on her feet, she was incredibly relieved to be home, even more relieved that they were all okay, but they still had so much to talk about and to process, she wasn't even thinking about sleeping, no matter how exhausted her body was, her brain was going miles a minute.

"You have no idea how much I missed this bed," she told him quietly, mostly to get the conversation started, because if she was honest, she was a little nervous about finally being alone with him, she knew they had some difficult topics to discuss.
chloesullivan: (Scared/worried)
Chloe sighed deeply as Bart left and slowly walked over to the bed in the examination room, she had sent Bart back right away, even if most of the dangerous inmates were gone, a lot of the patients were still there and the Belle Reve staff would need all the help it could get to get everyone under control.

Wincing, she sat down and pulled her bare feet up, making a face as she analyzed all the cuts in it, running however many miles barefoot on a highway wasn't exactly smart, but her feet were the least of her worries at the moment.

She still when she heard the elevator getting to the floor and looked down at herself, she was a mess, dirty and still in the blue uniform she'd been given, but at least there was no blood or anything that could scare him when he first saw her. At least she looked nothing like he had the last time she'd seen him.
chloesullivan: (Oliver - Bright eyes)
Chloe may not be there, but the mail still comes to the Watchtower daily and today, amongst the advertisement and bills, two items can be found. Items that were bought in advance and were supposed to be hastily wrapped in green stripped paper that is hidden in the back of her closet before the surprise dinner party she'd been planning to throw him.

One of the items is in an envelop, it's addressed to Chloe, but inside, there are two tickets for the Star City Opera for November 6th. If she was there, she'd watch him open the gift and make a joke about how it was pointless to buy him plane tickets since he owned his own plane, but that she wanted him to visit his home town since it had been a while.

The second item is in a box and it's not much, but it always made her smile when she looked at it. It's a framed picture of the two of them, her favorite picture of the two of them. In the picture, she has her arms around him and is looking up at him while he grins down at her, his arms also around her and although she couldn't remember what was so amusing at the time, they both looked so incredibly happy, she couldn't stop herself from choosing that one.

And if she was there, she would just watch him as he opened that box and pay close attention to the look on his face. She's not there, however, but wherever she is, hopefully the gifts will remind him that she's thinking of him on his birthday.
chloesullivan: (Worried leaning on elbows)
A couple of days after Michael's possession incident, Chloe was still doing her best to find out everything she could on the subject, she had gone back to the Winchester novels and had highlighted information that seemed real and now she was sitting on the couch of their apartment, laptop on her lap as she researched some more.

She really wanted to ask the Winchester about the protection amulets they had mentioned so she was planning on giving them a call in the near future, but she didn't want to seem completely uneducated on the subject when they spoke and on top of that, she was making a list of things she could ask because she didn't want to miss any important details.
chloesullivan: (looking down)
Chloe sighed softly as she looked out of the window of the Watchtower, leaning against the wall. Everything was quiet, still, just like it had been that day one year ago.

She had been standing there for a long time, her legs felt stiff, so she shifted a little and rubbed a hand over her face, standing there for just a moment longer before pushing herself away from the wall and walking over to the small bar and pouring herself a drink before walking over to the couch and sitting down with a sigh.

With a sip of the whiskey Oliver usually left there, 'for long nights' according to him, she leaned back against the couch and closed her eyes. She knew she should go downstairs to their apartment, where Ollie was probably waiting for her, but she felt like she needed some more time in the top floor of the Watchtower.
chloesullivan: (Oliver - arrows)
Chloe's eyes narrowed and moved her legs further apart, focusing on the object in front of her as she adjusted her fingers and the tape over her knuckles, pulling her arm back and shifting her weight on her feet before starting the routine she had just learned, punching with her right hook, then left, doing a turn and kneeling the punching bag just above her own hip height.

She took a deep breath once the sequence was over and looked over at her instructor, raising her eyebrows and waiting for the feedback.
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - typing)
After her talk with Michael, Chloe had been trying her best to find some kind of record that could tell her that Michael's dad and uncle were actually alive.

She had found a lot of information on them, nothing after the date of the helicopter crash, but she was going to keep looking, because she didn't want to disappoint Michael like that.

Chloe had no idea how long she had been looking, since she was alone in the Watchtower, she wasn't exactly paying attention to the time, but she figure it must have been a few hours at least because her eyes were starting to get tired.
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Chloe stretched next to Oliver in her sleep, taking a deep breath as she shifted on the bed, opening her eyes slowly after a long moment, not at all surprised to see he was already awake and looking at her.

She smiled softly and cocked her head a little before murmuring quietly, "morning."
chloesullivan: (looking up)
After their meeting with Tess, Chloe and Oliver made their way back to the Watchtower. Her hand still in his as they walked out of the elevator and through the door of the top floor.

Chloe wasn't surprised to find Mia there, punching the punching bag full force. With a deep breath, Chloe glanced over at Ollie then looked back at Mia.

"We're back." She announced.

[posting order: Ollie, Mia, Chloe.]
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - Determined)
Chloe took a deep breath and looked around at the other three, pursing her lips together. She didn't feel very confident about this, but they had no choice. Clark, AC, Dinah and Vic were unavailable and they couldn't risk wasting time and trying to contact them. They had to get Mia.

She adjusted the communicator in her ear and held Ollie's gaze. If they were going down, at least they would be together this time.

Bart had already found the place where Mia was and Oliver had called an unexpected ally: Zatanna. For all they knew about Slade, he was invincible. He could regenerate faster than they could hurt him, even Clark and Bart as far as the information they had gotten, mostly from Dinah.

Chloe just hoped magic could hurt him, otherwise, none of them were coming out of this alive.

"Ready?"
chloesullivan: (Thoughtful smile)
After she dropped Mia off at the school, Chloe made her way to Blockbuster, as promised. She had picked out a variety of movies, including a Bruce Lee one for Ollie and Mia to watch together once they had time. The clerk had assured her it was the best one and by the way he went on and on about it, Chloe believed him. She was almost sorry she asked by the time she finally managed to get out of the store.

Once that was done, she made her way back to the Watchtower, it was going to be nice to have some time alone with Ollie, she hadn't really had a lot of that since he got back, not quiet alone time anyway.

But she wasn't holding her breath that it would last long, if at all. She fully expected something to come up, that was just the way their lives were.
chloesullivan: (Staring blankly)
With a deep sigh, Chloe rubbed a hand over her face and stared at the screen. Nothing. She had been researching for days, she didn't even know how many, and she had not even a single lead on what had been done to Ollie's body.

She didn't know what to think. Couldn't think of a reason why anyone, even Lex, would be keeping the body for so long without bragging about it or trying to blackmail them somehow. She was exhausted, she hadn't managed to sleep more than a couple of hours a night and when she did, it was a restless sleep, at that point, she was just hoping they could find him soon to be able to give him a proper burial and give Mia and the others some closure.

Mia, who had been punching the dummy the boys brought over from the training room for the last hour. There was a rhythm to the punch that was so constant, Chloe had managed to tune it out completely until she turned to look at the younger girl who had one objective in mind for the last week: revenge.

Rubbing a hand over her face, Chloe turned to the computer once more, she had to make progress soon.

(Posting order: Chloe, Mia, Ollie.)
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Lois had left for Smallville to grab some things so she could stay in the Watchtower until this was over. Chloe knew Lois was worried about her and to be honest, she would feel better to know Lois was around and not staying by herself in the apartment where Lex could find her so easily.

Clark and Mia were downstairs, training and Chloe had already let everyone know they would have a meeting in a few more hours. She was alone.

She planned on laying down for a while, since she had been going on over forty hours without sleep, but as she reached the top of the stairs, she looked toward his room and paused for a full moment before walking in that direction.

Chloe opened the door slowly and held her breath as she turned the light on. The suitcase he had taken to Star City was still open on the floor by the door, half unpacked. She had called him to go have lunch with him and Mia when he was working on unpacking it.

She closed the door behind herself and stepped inside, her eyes tearing up as she saw his uniform handing on the door of the closet. She walked over to it and touched the thick green leather. Wondering if he would have been able to survive if he had been wearing that instead of the shirt he had on.

Her hand was shaking and she pulled it back slowly, turning to look around the room, her eyes fell on the bed, it wasn't made and she wished she had slipped into his room two nights ago. His dad's journal was on the bedside table but she didn't move it. Instead, she slipped under the covers, grabbing the extra pillow he normally didn't use and laying her head on it then pulling the pillow he did use tightly against her chest and closing her eyes.

She was just going to lay down there for a while. She didn't want Mia to see her there.
