Chloe shifted on the uncomfortable wooden chair, the skin of her wrists raw as she tried to pull her hands free from the handcuffs, her back was killing her, she had been sitting there for hours, and although she had a pretty good idea who would have kidnapped her, she still didn't know for sure.

Her abductor had been careful enough with her, simply pulling a hood over her head and throwing her in the back of a car less than a block before getting to the Planet, she hadn't seen his face, just felt the cold barrel of a gun pressing against her stomach as he spoke against her ear, "don't react, don't call for anyone or it dies."

So she didn't say a word, didn't move an inch, not until she was tied up against the chair, her back to where she figured the door was.

She was starting to feel heavy, like Lea was doubling size every day, and she knew it was going to get a lot worse in the next three months. But she didn't mind. At all. Dr. Hamilton had been checking on her a lot more often now and the baby was perfect, healthy and strong. And that was all that mattered.

Still, it made getting dressed harder, but somehow, she had managed. Ollie had gone to Queen Industries to sign some contracts and although he should be back soon, Chloe planned on walking over to the Planet to say hi to Lois and Clark, mostly to get out for a while, but also because she hadn't been there that week yet and she wanted to make sure everything was going smoothly.
chloesullivan: (really happy)
Things were different already and more than never, Chloe had hope they would be okay because things were not the way Lois saw in the other future anymore. On January first, they had successfully stopped Lex's attempt to announce to the world that he was alive and that gave them even more time to get people to believe Clark's new alter ego over Lex, and that plan was already working better than they expected, so she allowed herself to remain hopeful.

When she woke up, she got up after checking on Oliver and went straight to the kitchen, smiling when she saw the copy of the Planet over the counter, Clark had already left it there for them, she unfolded it quickly and read the front page, a grin appearing on her lips at the headline: 'Superman stops plane crash.'
chloesullivan: (Happy smile)
It had been a long day of preparations, Victor and Clark did all of the cooking, Bart chopped things up faster than anyone else could, and Clark might have sped up the turkey cooking process with his heat vision because Bart kept complaining he was hungry.

Ollie and AC helped around the kitchen while Lois made it her job to stop Chloe from doing much of anything at all. She was pretty sure those were Oliver's orders for the day, but she had insisted on at least setting the table, and that had been the only time Lois had actually insisted on helping.

In the end, everything had turned out well, there was food for about twenty people on the table, although, between Clark and Bart, Chloe guessed they wouldn't have a lot of leftovers. But that didn't matter, what really mattered was that everyone was there, together, healthy, talking and eating, like the family they were.
chloesullivan: (Looking down smiling)
It had been a long day, Chloe and Lois had gone shopping for basics, clothes, underwear, shoes, toiletries as well as towels and sheets and some Christmas presents while the guys moved all the furniture that was in the Talon apartment over to the Watchtower.

When they got back, everyone helped organize the apartment and by the time they were done, it felt a lot more like like a home and Lois seemed really pleased with herself for managing to talk Clark into staying there with her, even if he insisted on taking the couch.

So the boys went out for pizza and Chloe and Oliver went upstairs to their own apartment, they hadn't had a lot of time by themselves in the past few days, with Lois staying there and Clark hovering pretty much all of the time, so it would be nice to have a quiet night for a change.

"I'm exhausted," she told him as she dropped the two bags of things she had bought for themselves while out, "you must be too."
chloesullivan: (Worried leaning on elbows)
The snow storm was past them and the boys had been working on the new floor, which would be for Lois, most of the day and had wanted to patrol. But Oliver had stayed behind with Chloe and Lois and now they were just waiting for Clark to get back from an emergency call so Lois could finally fill them in on what they needed to know.

Chloe was still nervous about them finding out more about the future, but the fact that this future Lois had come from clearly wasn't exactly the same as theirs did comfort her a little because then maybe, whatever bad that had happened might not happen in their present.

With a deep breath, she shifted on the couch and looked towards the window that Clark had left through, "I wonder how long he will be."
chloesullivan: (Big grin with Lo)
They had had a long night, Lois had fallen asleep on their bed, so Chloe and Oliver just ended up sleeping on the couch when Clark had to leave because he heard someone calling for help.

It hadn't been the most comfortable night, but it was for a very good reason. Chloe could hardly believe her cousin was back, not only Lois, but Clark too. It was like having her whole family back together after two very long years without them.

When they woke up, Oliver insisted on going out to get them breakfast, so Chloe was sitting on the couch, wrapped up in blankets and reading the paper while she waited for him to come back and for Lois to wake up.
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
After that very long morning and an even longer nap, they woke up, or Oliver did and Chloe woke up when she felt him moving on the bed beside her. It took her a second to realize where they were but when she felt slightly uncomfortable because she had fallen asleep in her jeans, she remembered.

Rubbing her face, she took a deep breath and glanced at Oliver, whispering, "what time is it?"
chloesullivan: (really happy)
The morning following their wedding wasn't much different than the previous morning for Chloe, she woke up to find that Oliver was no longer in bed, she could here the distance noises in the kitchen, but just as she turned, a wave of nausea hit her and once more, she ran into the bathroom, coming out about half an hour later, after taking a long, warm shower, and making her way downstairs.

When she saw Oliver standing in the living room area, looking out the window, she smiled, grateful that he had chosen cereal instead of eggs that time. She made her way down the stairs as quietly as possible, she didn't want to interrupt him, he had a happy smile on his face and the Watchtower was still covered in tulips from the previous night, it was a good sight.
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - With Arrow)
Since last week, when they found out the test was negative, Chloe started working extra hard on her practice, it looked like they were going to be doing this for a while longer, after all.

She wasn't the only one who seemed to think that way, they seemed to have an unspoken agreement to be out longer hours, help as many people as possible and make Metropolis as safe as it used to be, then, maybe, they would both feel like it was time to try again.

It was close to three in the morning when they successfully stopped two more criminals from robbing a liquor store, the police was so close, she could see the red and blue lights approaching, they usually didn't answer their calls that fast. So Chloe ran over to Oliver and wrapped her arms around him, he was ready, waiting for her, "let's go." She whispered, eyes in the direction of the police cars.
chloesullivan: (Thoughtful smile)
She took a deep breath as she opened the bathroom door, stepping outside and holding her hands together nervously and walking over to the living room.

In a few minutes, they would know if their life was going to change, she had been anxious for this day for a whole month now, just the thought that was a possibility... she tried to keep herself from hoping too much, but sometimes, she couldn't help it.

"Now we wait." She said quietly as she looked up at Oliver, who looked as anxious as she felt.
chloesullivan: (snooping)
She wasn't going to just sit around and wait for him. Not anymore. Oliver had said that he was going to go back, but she didn't know when and as soon as it was dark out, Chloe had gotten ready and gone out. She had been out now for about four hours and when she felt exhausted, she finally decided to go back.

Her jacket had been ripped in two places by the blade of a knife from a mugger that she took down while he tried to mug a woman and her daughter, he had cut Chloe's stomach and arm, but it hadn't been deep so it was fully healed already.

Healing had pretty much drained the last of her energy so slowly, she made her way back to the Watchtower, as she approached the building, she noticed someone sitting down on the front steps. She frowned, hard, it looked like Oliver, but she wasn't sure, so she held on to the tranquilizer spray tightly.
chloesullivan: (Oliver and I dressed up)
Things had slowly been getting better, Oliver had been healing okay and they had talked about training more before going out again, learning how to work as a team and how to protect each other. Chloe had been hesitant about this at first, considering what she had done, but eventually she had agreed. They did, after all, have to help Metropolis, but this time, they would to it right. And with more time to prepare.

Which was why they were only out for dinner tonight. They both had felt like they needed to get out of the Watchtower for a while, and they had had a nice dinner and were now in one of the few, safer areas of Metropolis, where it was still possible to walk around and talk while enjoying ice cream, something neither one of them had done in a very long time.

Chloe smiled at Oliver when they sat down on one of the benches, "you're moving a lot better," she told him, relived to see him sitting down without wincing.
chloesullivan: (With GA at TDP)
Chloe was panicking, her heart was beating fast as she ran down the stairs, "Oliver!?" She called out, the door was locked, including the three dead bolts, he hadn't left, he had to be there somewhere.

It had been a few days since she had found Oliver and had brought him over, he was healing, but he was still in pain, and when she woke up this morning, she couldn't find him. She had looked all over the apartment, he wasn't anywhere.

And then she noticed it. One of the windows was open, the window that had the stairs that lead to the roof. Chloe quickly climbed it, her eyes wide, "Oliver?" She called again, stopping at the top of the stairs and sighing deeply when she saw him standing there, his back to her as he looked down at Metropolis.
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Chloe was comfortable. Very comfortable. She felt like she had just had the best night of sleep in a very long time. She shifted slightly and she could feel a weight on top of her legs and over her arm as well as a warmth all around her back and it was nice, so nice she sighed and closed her eyes tighter before relaxing again.

It felt like she wasn't alone anymore and if it was a dream, she didn't want to wake up from it.
chloesullivan: (snooping)
Chloe had heard about this place the night before, when she heard on the police scan that the cage fighter Carlos Mendez had been beaten to death outside the underground cage fighting club.

The place was exactly what she expected; dirty, disgusting, it smelled horrible and it was filled with men who smelled even worse. For a Monday night, it was crowded. She tightened her hand around the pepper spray in her jacket pocket, the other hand tightening around the small knife that she held around her other hand. She was wearing a hoodie over her head, the least attention she attracted to herself, the better.

Chloe pushed her way through the crowd and what she saw when she looked into the cage, that she didn't expect. Her breath caught in her throat, it was the first familiar face she had seen in half an year, but she wished she hadn't see him like that. Oliver had just been punched, full on the face, and his nose was gushing blood. She felt sick.
