Trip to New York with dl_greenarrow

Graduation had been over a month ago, but only now they were making their way to New York. Chloe had wanted to make sure she was putting enough time at the Planet and was in good with her editor before requesting the time off. She also wanted to make sure she wasn't gone when there was a possibility for a promotion.

Oliver had been patient, but so once she gave him the dates she could be gone for, it took him less than an hour to throw the trip together and give her times and where they'd be staying.

And now there they were, the plane had just landed about five minutes ago and they were gathering their things, Chloe placed her laptop inside it's bag and looked over at him, "so what are we doing first?" She asked, not bothering to hide her excitement. She'd never been to the city before and she was looking forward to exploring it.

"Well, I'm annoyed," she told him with a roll of her eyes, "people like them make serious journalists look bad, but I could care less about what they say, I might call work depending on what it is, but I doubt my dad will care since he knows the truth about us, and I could care less about what anyone else thinks."

At that he paused, truly caught off guard. "Your dad knows about us?" His stomach knotted as he looked at her, startled.

Chloe gave him a look at raised her eyebrows, "the truth that we're friends and he has nothing to worry about, and that's as much as he needs to know."

Oliver paused again, nodding slowly. "Right. Nothing to worry about," he echoed. Nothing at all, he thought, his stomach turning for another reason this time. Because she doesn't feel the same way about me as I do about her, he reminded himself.

"As awesome as my dad is, I think even he would have issues with the sex thing, as far as he knows, I will probably die a virgin," she told him with a smirk, trying to get him to relax.

A small smile tugged at his lips despite the disappointment that had already made itself known. "Well, yeah. Understandable."

Chloe shrugged and raised her eyebrows, "so I think we should skip the sight-seeing for today, let the trail go cold, find something less public to do."

At that, he raised an eyebrow. "Oh you do? And precisely what do you have in mind, Chloe?" he murmured, shifting a little closer to her.

She grinned at his reaction and raised her eyebrows, "well.. I don't know... what do you think we should do?"

He smirked, his mouth only inches away from hers, his breath warm against her cheek. "Hm, I don't know either," he answered, reaching up and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as he met her eyes.

Chloe smirked back and held his gaze but didn't move, doing her best to pretend like she was unaffected by his closeness, "we are in a whole new town, it should be something different, right?"

"Well...the room may have a hot tub in the bathroom," he told her, arching an eyebrow.

Her smirk brightened into a smile, "a hot tub? Were you expecting something, Ollie?"

Oliver grinned at her, placing a feather-light kiss to the corner of her mouth. "Maybe," he responded.

Chloe grinned but didn't kiss him back, "presumptuous, don't you think?"

"Well...I suppose that I could change our reservation to two rooms," he responded with a raised eyebrow.

She mock gasped and raised her eyebrows, "you only got us one room?" Truth be told, she had wondered about that. Sure, they were having sex again, but she didn't know if he was going to want to sleep with her, considering...

"Too presumptuous?" He pulled his cell phone out of his jacket pocket like he was going to call the hotel.

"Yeah, definitely," she told him, reaching for his phone and pulling it away from him, "what if you see me naked or something?"

"Well, then I guess I should rectify this situation before it gets out of hand," he answered, smirking as he reached for his phone, his nose brushing against her cheek.

She hid the phone behind her back, pulling it as far away from him as she could, "you should. I'm a respectable woman."

"Mmhmm," he agreed, sliding an arm around her even as his lips pressed against her throat. "Which is why I should call the hotel and reserve a second room."

"Very important that you do that," she pulled away and smirked raising her eyebrows and sliding the phone inside her shirt.

Oliver watched her, his eyes narrowing a little at her actions. "Sneaky," he mumbled, shifting closer to her and sliding a hand under the hem of her shirt.

Chloe held her breath and kept her eyes on his face, "what do you think you are doing?"
