They needed this. Chloe, Lois and Lana needed a girls night out. So they planned and they finally made it, with their busy schedules, that was an accomplishment on it's own.

Tonight they've been to two different bars and one club, they have had more drinks than they could count and now they are walking back to Ollie's loft.

"Are you sure, Lo?" Chloe asks, swinging her shoes in her hand a little as they walk towards the elevator, "We can go back to my place, there's no one there." She shifts a little when they stop and grins at her cousin, "And then Lana and I would be home!"

(ooc: Okay, most of you already know what this is about, but I will write it here anyway. Since we have so many players and characters involved in the Genesis verse, I wanted to make this free-for-all post so everyone can start interacting. Feel free to make it meta, cracktastic, start threads on your own LJs, play out actual scenes as if you were already there or just reply to the invitation. Thread-jack away, it's the whole point of this post. I realize not everyone is on right now so, check back and hopefully we can get everyone started? If you can't tell already, I'm excited about this verse.)

Okay everyone, so I have a couch, and thanks to Clark, a dining table. To celebrate my furniture, I'm inviting everyone over for pizza. You didn't expect a home-cooked meal, did you?

Let me know if you're coming so I know how many pizzas I need. Wally, I'm looking at you.

A first day at a new job is always nerve wracking but when you are just going back to a job you should never have been fired from in the first place, two of your closest friends also work there, and your boss is a childhood role model, things tend to go smoother.

Still, on Monday morning, Chloe decides to walk the two short blocks from her new apartment to work, she picks up coffee on her way and makes it to the building with a few minutes to spare. Clark and Lois have a press conference to attend to this morning, so she heads to her floor. She has yet to meet her partner but since Perry White told her she would be working with his nephew, Richard White, a couple of days ago, she started reading his work; their writing style seemed similar enough to where it shouldn't be an issue, now she just hopes they manage to get along.

When Chloe steps out of the elevator, it doesn't take her long to find her new desk, the only one that is not completely covered with piles of files, newspapers, clippings, folders and all that it takes to write a good article. Reporters were not known for their organization.

As she steps closer to it and sees the nameplate on her desk, it does put a smile on her face. She adjusts it slightly before setting her purse and laptop bag down over the desk, her partner isn't there yet and most of the floor is still empty; it's a little too early for journalists.

Chloe picks up the single folder that she has over her desk, apparently information on something her partner is currently working on, and sits down on her chair, starting to read the documents.

It feels good to be back. Back in Metropolis, back at the Planet. Chloe has just finished signing the papers for her job back at the Planet, she didn't think she'd feel as excited as she did, like the first time she got a job here. This was definitely her home.

Her life in Gotham was good, even with the Joker and the grumpy local superhero, things were going well for her there, but Metropolis was always the place she called home, where her friends and family are, the place she knows as well as the back of her hand, and she didn't realize how much she missed it until she stepped out of the plane.

She doesn't start her job until Monday, but after talking to Perry, Chloe takes the elevator down to the 8th floor; another perk of being back here is working with a few of her best friends. She knew Lois would be out of the office today, but she isn't looking for her cousin today.

Chloe steps out of the elevator and looks around for a moment, secretly hoping not to run into Jimmy Olsen, she's not exactly sure how that particular reunion will go just yet. It doesn't take her long to spot her best friend, Clark is taller than most people in the room by quite a few inches, even if everyone is sitting down, he is pretty easy to find.
