Twelve days of Christmas with dl_greenarrow

She couldn't wait to get home, not only because she was incredibly curious about whatever gift Ollie had waiting for her, but also because she was on vacation and that meant time with him without worrying about work or anything, and then they would leave to Smallville, which she had no doubt would be nice, with Lois, Clark, Lucy, Mrs. Kent and her dad around, it would be a good Christmas.

Shifting restlessly between her feet, she watched the numbers as the elevator went up impatiently, stepping out and looking around, "Ollie?"

Oliver laughed out loud at her reaction. "She can be our sidekick."

Smiling brightly when she heard him laugh she shook her head, "I don't think she will be much help with research."

"You seriously underestimate her magic ability..." He picked the pup up and snuggled her against his chest. "To keep your feet warm while you're researching." He grinned brightly.

Raising her eyebrows, she cocked her head, smiling as she watcher him with the dog then nodding, "ah is that what she is going to do?"

"Well, and if Bart gets stuck down a well, I'm sure she'll let us know." He smirked.

Making a face she shook her head, "still not calling her Lessie."

"Cassie?" he teased. "Casey?"

Chloe raised her eyebrows and shrugged, "I still like Mocha better. It's perfectly reasonable. Or course I could call her Italian Roast..."

He made a face. "Mocha, huh?" He scratched behind the pup's ears, amused when she barked again. He raised an eyebrow at Chloe. "I think she likes it."

Chloe cocked her head at the dog, "I was mostly joking, but do you really like that?" She looked at the dog, "Mocha?"

"I think it suits her." When the pup barked again, he chuckled softly. "See? She likes it."

"Apparently," with a nod at the dog, she smiled, "you're a smart puppy."

"Welcome home, Mocha," Oliver said softly, smiling.

Chloe grinned when the puppy barked and licked his face, nodding, "she's excited."
