The snow storm was past them and the boys had been working on the new floor, which would be for Lois, most of the day and had wanted to patrol. But Oliver had stayed behind with Chloe and Lois and now they were just waiting for Clark to get back from an emergency call so Lois could finally fill them in on what they needed to know.

Chloe was still nervous about them finding out more about the future, but the fact that this future Lois had come from clearly wasn't exactly the same as theirs did comfort her a little because then maybe, whatever bad that had happened might not happen in their present.

With a deep breath, she shifted on the couch and looked towards the window that Clark had left through, "I wonder how long he will be."

"People are scared of the unknown," she told him quietly. "But if you go public--not as Clark Kent--but as the city's hero...people will have this beacon of hope. They'll know someone's is watching over them, protecting them." Lois gazed at him.

"And then you can endorse the guy who ends up running against Lex. People will listen."

Her eyes widened a little and Chloe nodded, "and on top of that, if everyone knows you and trusts you, Lex will never be able to paint you as a villain, as a menace..."

Clark raised his eyebrows and looked between them like they were crazy, "Lex can expose me, and then all of your lives are in even more danger."

"Our lives are in danger anyway, Clark." It's one of the few times Lois has ever used his real name. She glanced at Oliver, then Chloe, before looking back at him. "And if you're in disguise of some kind, Lex won't even know it's you."

Oliver was silent for a long moment. 'It sounds crazy." He drew in a breath. "But it also might work."

Chewing on her bottom lip, Chloe nodded, "if you get a new costume and a new name, Lex doesn't know you can fly, make that your trademark and he won't know it's you. You can wear a mask..."

"No masks," he told her, frowning slightly, "and even with a costume, how can you be so sure Lex won't know it's me?"

"Well, he never did figure out I was Green Arrow," Oliver pointed out, then glanced at Lois, hoping that was true in the future.
