Chloe had managed to sleep for eleven hours, which, considering she hadn't slept at all the previous night, then had worked for ten hours before going to a party for the rest of the night and not to mention the other stuff she had put energy in, it wasn't really a surprise.

So she didn't exactly feel bad as she walked out of the bedroom at almost lunch time, wondering what Ollie could possibly be doing that was so noisy, it sounded like plastic bags and wrapping paper and it wasn't even Christmas morning.

"Ollie?" She called as she rubbed her face, looking around as she made her way to the kitchen, she smelled coffee.

Oliver was sorting through the gifts people had given him, very glad he had a near-photographic memory as he made a list of who gave him what so he could send thank you cards. He glanced up as she walked into the kitchen. "Morning, Sleeping Beauty." He grinned at her, leaning back in his chair. Half his gifts were on the table, the other half were in a bag on the floor.

"Some of us didn't sleep for thirteen hours yesterday," she smiled lazily at him and picked up a mug, filling it with coffee and sipping on it after she prepared it, sighing deeply she nodded and made her way to the table, "what are you doing?" She asked as sat down next to him, looking around the room.

"Ah, in polite society it's called preparing to send thank you notes," he teased her, winking. He leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose, still grinning as he went back to what he was doing.

She rolled her eyes but smiled, sipping on her coffee again then shrugging, "clearly, my family doesn't fall under that category, you've met my cousin, right?" She grinned a little and shifted, stretching her legs and resting her feet over his lap.

He chuckled at that comment. "Are you sure you're blood related? Because I'm not entirely convinced," he joked. He set his pen down and lowered his hands to her feet, rubbing the soles gently.

Chloe grinned softly and shook her head, "I wasn't hinting at a foot rub." Then shrugged and sighed comfortably, "and sadly, if you look close enough, you can see the similarities, but for the sake of this relationship, I will ask you not to."

He made a face and didn't respond, though he did continue rubbing her feet, focusing intently on doing so. "I'll rub your feet without complaint, but I draw the line at painting your toenails." He smirked.

She laughed and shook her head, sliding down in her chair a little then shrugging a shoulder as she sipped on her coffee, "I have fresh, warm coffee and an insanely amazing boyfriend rubbing my feet, I think I'm okay for now."

"Insanely amazing." He cocked his head to the side, smirking. "I like it. It's fitting." He chuckled and gazed at her for a moment before picking his pen up once more. He reached down into the sack, surprised to see a small, still-wrapped gift. "Huh. Must have missed one."

Chloe sat up so fast, it was a miracle she wasn't covered in coffee, she sat her mug down on the table and reached over for the gift in the elegant purple and silver wrapping, it was a good thing it was as unique as it was, "you're not opening this." She told him as she pulled the gift away from him, "I meant to trash it, but I forgot to."

He blinked, more than a little startled by her quick movement and the fact that she'd all but ripped the package from his hands. "Uh, is there a reason we're trashing the package?" he askd, his eyebrows furrowing as he eyed it uncertainly.

She looked down at the package for a moment then frowned a little, looking over at him, "it's from Lex."

"And...you think it's going to explode when I open it?" He arched an eyebrow, vague amusement in his voice.

She rolled her eyes then frowned at him, shaking her head, "of course not, but whatever it is, it's only going to upset you. Lex would never give you anything nice Oliver, so it's better to just get rid of it."

He considered that for a moment, chewing on his lip as he eyed the small package. "You can't tell me you're not dying to know what's inside just like I am."

Chloe took a deep breath and shrugged, "of course I'm curious, but I don't want Lex to get whatever reaction he expected out of this."
