Meeting the in-law with dl_greenarrow.

Chloe had picked up her dad at the airport about an hour ago. She hadn't seen him in a while even though they talked almost daily over the phone, so she had missed him a lot and she was glad to spend some quiet time with him, catching up.

She had kept him updated on everything. At this point, he had pretty much figured out about everything, well about Clark being Superman and about Ollie being Green Arrow. Mostly because of how much she talked about the guys as well as their identities a lot. She had also told him the truth about Conner and although he tended not to ask too many questions about any of it, she also knew he didn't talk about it with anyone.

He had yet to meet Oliver face-to-face, however and while Chloe knew they would get along just fine and they had spoken on the phone before, she knew they were both equally nervous.

Oliver finished setting the table for dinner, bringing out the best bottle of wine he had, but also setting out glasses for ice water, just in case. He tried to ignore the way his stomach tightened at the thought of meeting Chloe's dad.

He couldn't imagine the other man would be very happy with him, considering he'd married his only daughter without so much as having met Gabe Sullivan. Wincing a little, he rubbed his hand over the back of his neck, holding his breath as he heard the elevator ascending to the suite.

Chloe was surprised when she heard noise inside the apartment, "Ollie?" She called, not realizing he would be home already, "relax," she told her dad as they walked inside the apartment. Technically she had never really introduced him to a boyfriend, let alone to a husband before.

"Hey." Oliver greeted them at the elevator entrance. "Mr. Sullivan." He nodded a little, holding his hand out.

"Hey," Chloe said, smiling at him and looking at the set table, surprised then looked at her dad before looking at Ollie again.

"Oliver," Gabe greeted then nodded a little, "Gabe will do." He said, setting a small suitcase on the floor.

"All right, Gabe it is then." He smiled faintly, looking between his life and her father. "I hope lasagna's all right?"

"You had time to make dinner?" Chloe asked, surprised and impressed as she looked up at him.

"I finally get to try the lasagna Chloe talks so much about?" Gabe said, smiling and nodding, "sounds good to me."
