She frowned a little and held her breath as she adjusted on her chair, the caller ID was telling her the caller was 'Emerald Archer' and although she knew they had planned a conference call, she was sure it had been canceled after the way their disastrous lunch ended.
With a deep breath, she nodded a little to herself and ran her fingers through her hair before accepting the call. She couldn't ignore work if he needed her and she had the feeling he wouldn't be calling unless it was extremely necessary.

Date: 2011-01-26 04:51 am (UTC)He was shutting her out, he was done getting hurt, she knew it was only a matter of time before he got tired of her, she just wished she'd been speaking the truth when she said she didn't want them to be anything other than friends with benefits, but it was too late now and she knew he was better off without her, which was why she had to resign and free him from her completely.
