"Can you see it?" Chloe asked impatiently as Emil rubbed the ultrasound device against her swollen stomach, she had her fingers wrapped tightly around Oliver's hand as she watched the small monitor next to the bed.

They were supposed to be finding out the gender of the baby today, but she knew that sometimes, depending on the angle the baby was in, it wasn't always possible to see what was going on. She just hoped Emil was able to figure it out, she had been anxiously waiting for today, she simply couldn't wait to find out.

She took a deep breath and nodded a little, relaxing against the bed, "thank you, Emil," she told him, squeezing Ollie's hand and looking at the monitor once more as she tried to process the news.

Oliver smiled softly, squeezing her hand in return and gazing at her silently. They'd come so far in less than a full year. It was almost mind-blowing to think about, really.

Once Emil cleaned the gel from her stomach and excused himself from the room, Chloe turned to look at Ollie once more, the same soft smile on her lips, "we're having a girl." She whispered, her eyes getting slightly teary.

His expression softened at that, and he rose to his feet, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. "We are," he whispered back, nodding a little. He rested a hand lightly on her stomach, moving his thumb back and forth over it.

She smiled and sat up then covered his had with hers, "it's absolutely mind-blowing and terrifying, isn't it?" She whispered, smiling softly at him.

"Yes, to both," he agreed without hesitation. He was quiet for a moment. "She's not dating until she's twenty-one."

Chloe laughed softly at that and leaned in, kissing him softly on the lips, "will I have to help her grow her hair so she can Rapunzel her way out of the tower?" She teased.

Oliver shook his head solemnly. "No, she'll have to be more creative than that. Shoulder-length hair at the most, just for precaution," he joked, grinning at her. "And when I said twenty-one, that's the earliest. If she doesn't want to start dating until she's thirty, that's okay by me."

She shook her head a little and brushed her nose against his, "well she is our daughter, Ollie, chances are, she will be very sneaky, as sneaky as the two of us put together, besides, if your interaction with Mia is anything to go by, you're already wrapped around her tiny little fingers and I don't think they're even fully formed yet."

He paused at that, frowning. "You're right. We're going to have to take so many precautions." He cocked his head to the side. "We need to install more security at Watchtower. A lot more."

Chloe laughed softly and lifted a hand to cup his cheek, "relax, Ollie, we have time. I think it will be at least a couple of years before she can try to sneak out on us."

He relaxed a little at her light touch and smiled at her. "I'm over-reacting, aren't I?"

"I don't know," she told him quietly, "I think it's pretty normal."

Oliver turned his head and kissed her palm, gazing at her intently. "I love you," he whispered.
