At ten AM sharp, Chloe was making her way up the front stairs of the Luthor mansion, a folder clutched tightly in her hand as she waited for someone to open the door. Once a security guard did, she followed him up the familiar main stairs and took a deep breath.

She had tried to go around this every way she could think of, she had tried to get all the answers herself and to find Oliver on her own, but the second she saw Amanda Waller in one of the videos for the facility Oliver was abducted in from a couple of months back, she knew Checkmate was involved and she knew that no matter how hard she tried, she probably wouldn't find much, at least not without wasting a lot of time, which meant, Tess was the fastest way for her to get to Oliver.

And she was done wasting time.

Tess is in the study, waiting for her. She might look a little tired, a little less put together than she normally is, but there are no other major changes visible. Except perhaps for the (empty) bassinet beside her desk.

She glances up from her laptop when Chloe enters and nods the security guard away. "Have a seat."
