Trip to New York with dl_greenarrow

Graduation had been over a month ago, but only now they were making their way to New York. Chloe had wanted to make sure she was putting enough time at the Planet and was in good with her editor before requesting the time off. She also wanted to make sure she wasn't gone when there was a possibility for a promotion.

Oliver had been patient, but so once she gave him the dates she could be gone for, it took him less than an hour to throw the trip together and give her times and where they'd be staying.

And now there they were, the plane had just landed about five minutes ago and they were gathering their things, Chloe placed her laptop inside it's bag and looked over at him, "so what are we doing first?" She asked, not bothering to hide her excitement. She'd never been to the city before and she was looking forward to exploring it.

Chloe smirked and glanced at the taxi driver and when she made sure he wasn't paying attention to them, she leaned in and bit down on his bottom lip.

Oliver grinned a little at that, nuzzling his nose lightly against hers.

She pulled back after a moment and smirked again, shrugging, "your pout is good for something," she told him, licking her lips.

"I like to think so," he agreed. "Even if it doesn't work on board members." He grinned at her and looked up when the car pulled to a stop.

Chloe sat up quickly and raised her eyebrows, looking out the window as she pulled away from him, "finally."

He couldn't help but chuckle softly at her reaction. He leaned forward and paid the driver, then grabbed their suitcases and climbed out of the back of the cab.

She was right behind him, making the way out of the car and once they had all their things, she started toward the hotel, "do you want me to check us in and stuff so they don't see you?"

"Yeah, that'd be great," he agreed, nodding. "We're in Suite 702 if I remember right. Meet you up there in a few?"

"Yeah," she told him, adjusting her purse in her hand, "see you upstairs."

He flashed her a charming smile and winked at her before heading to the elevator.

Chloe smirked and shook her head before walking over to the front desk. It took her a while, but she managed to check in, and apparently Oliver had already given them an account information over the phone because she hadn't had to leave any kind of card or ID or whatever with them, all they did was hand her the key and when they realized which room she was staying in at, they started treating her a lot better.

She made her way to the 7th floor and stepped out of the elevator, looking around for the room.

"This way," he said from a few feet to her left, nodding to the door he was standing in front of.

She lifted the keys in his direction and raised her eyebrows, "from the look on their faces, this is probably a pretty awesome room."

"You had doubts about that? What? You think I'd rent some crappy place to celebrate your college graduation?" He raised an eyebrow. "I think I'm insulted."

"Well I don't think the great Mr. Green would ever stay in a place that is less than awesome," she brushed past him and slid the keycard in the door before pushing it open.

He smirked at that, shaking his head a little and following her inside, moving over to set their luggage down by the closet and glancing up to watch her reaction as she looked around.

Chloe stopped as soon as she was inside the room, her eyes widening as she looked around, "wow..." she said quietly, dropping her purse and the laptop on the bed.

He hesitantly took a step toward her. "Check out the view," he said softly, nodding toward the balcony on the far side of the room.

After glancing at him she walked over to the huge windows, her eyes widening a little as she looked outside, the hotel was facing Central Park and the view was amazing, they were high enough to see most of it, but not too high that she could still see the people and everything, "wow..." she said again.

Oliver smiled faintly at her echoed word and moved to stand behind her, gazing outside. "This is my favorite hotel in New York," he told her. "Mostly because of the view, but also because the service is pretty great."

"It is pretty awesome..." she told him, turning her head to look up at him, "do you usually stay in a room this big, though?"

Oliver shrugged a little. "Not usually," he admitted.

Chloe grinned a little and looked back out, "you can invite me when you feel like you need company to stay here."

"Which would basically be anytime I come here," he told her, wrapping his arms around her from behind.

Despite her best effort, she stilled. They had had a big argument the last time he tried to do that to her and it still felt like it did the last time, close, intimate. Except then, she'd been afraid that he might have been developing feelings for her. Now she knew he had them.
