Trip to New York with dl_greenarrow

Graduation had been over a month ago, but only now they were making their way to New York. Chloe had wanted to make sure she was putting enough time at the Planet and was in good with her editor before requesting the time off. She also wanted to make sure she wasn't gone when there was a possibility for a promotion.

Oliver had been patient, but so once she gave him the dates she could be gone for, it took him less than an hour to throw the trip together and give her times and where they'd be staying.

And now there they were, the plane had just landed about five minutes ago and they were gathering their things, Chloe placed her laptop inside it's bag and looked over at him, "so what are we doing first?" She asked, not bothering to hide her excitement. She'd never been to the city before and she was looking forward to exploring it.

Oliver didn't answer this time, just nodded slightly, exhaling.

Chloe sighed and shrugged, looking over at him, "guess alcohol will be a good way to start this trip." She knew Oliver and knew when he was guilt tripping himself and she didn't want a bunch of wannabe paparazzi ruining their trip.

"Yeah, a drunk visit to the top of the Statue of Liberty. Sounds grand," he responded wryly.

"Do you wanna just go back?" She asked, raising her eyebrows and watching him, he was paying for the trip and if he was just gonna look miserable the entire time, there was no point in staying.

"Is that what you want?" he asked with a frown, finally glancing at her once more.

"No," she told him with a shrug, "but if it's going to ruin things for you, then there isn't much of a point."

"Nothing's ruined for me," he said with a shrug. "I'm used to the press, remember?"

"Then you don't need to look all guilty," she told him, raising her eyebrows.
