Chloe arrived at the airport a little early simply because she was restless, she had left Mia at the Watchtower with Bart, Oliver was in Smallville, meeting with Tess and she was worried about Clark.

She walked up the stairs of the plane carrying a small overnight bag with her as well as her laptop bag and her purse, greeted the pilot and spoke with him for a moment before walking toward the back of the plane.

Ollie was planning on taking Mia and Bart on patrol that night and she wouldn't be comfortable with not being around, or at least being in their ears, because she knew that if something went wrong and Mia was somehow in danger, both Ollie and Bart would be more vulnerable and more worried about helping Mia than getting them all out of whatever trouble they got themselves into.

Once her things were secured under one of the seats and her phone was in her hand, she sat down and looked out the window. She didn't like the fact that Clark was pretty much by himself in California, having to deal with all of it and she hoped Lois was on time so they wouldn't miss their scheduled flight plan and take even longer to get to the state. At least if Clark needed anything, they would be close by.

"Well, I was chasing down a story on this side of town, and my interview ended early so I thought what the hell, why go back to the Planet when I'm already so close to the airport? So here I am." Lois flashed Chloe a smile that didn't quite meet her eyes, but sat down quickly after tucking her luggage away.

Although she noticed the forced smile, Chloe didn't say anything, she watched as the pilot closed the doors and made his way back into the cabin as she sat back down, this time, next to Lois, "well, maybe we'll be able to get there earlier than planned."

"Maybe," she said absently, tapping her foot on the floor and looking out the window.

Chloe reached out for her cousin's hand and squeezed it, it didn't take much to be able to tell she was nervous, but she didn't say anything until she heard the engines coming to life, "okay, what's going on?"

"What do you mean? Nothing's going on. I've had a lot of coffee today," Lois said with a bright smile. "How are you? Are you really okay with Ollie and Mia staying behind?"

"Lo," Chloe gave her a look, raising an eyebrow, "coffee makes you jittery, not anxious," her voice grew softer and her eyes stayed on her cousin's face, "what is it?"

Lois shifted uncomfortably in the seat, not even sure why she was feeling uncomfortable. Chloe was her cousin, her closest relative and friend, and she trusted her with her life and all her secrets.

"I'm just..." She shifted again, not meeting Chloe's eyes. "I've been having these weird dreams."

Now Chloe was worried and she blinked and pulled back a little to give Lois some space but didn't let go of her hand, "what are they about?" The last time her cousin was having dreams, the outcome was not good.

She gave a short, nervous laugh. "Well, they're not bad dreams, so that's a plus, right?" She swallowed hard, her mouth suddenly feeling dry. "Does Ollie keep water on this thing? Or better yet, alcohol?"

"Yeah," Chloe stood up and walked toward the back of the plane, coming back seconds later with two glasses and two tiny bottles of whiskey, she could use some too.

"Here," she handed one pair to Lois then sat down again, "not bad is a start." Better than the apocalyptic ones from last time, but she was still worried.
