chloesullivan: (On the phone)
Once Chloe got home with Mia, Lea and Noah, she sent them upstairs to the play room with some fruit snacks and juice since she was pretty sure it would be a while before they would actually eat.

She could hear them upstairs and since there was giggling and no crying or yelling, she figured they were behaving.

Which meant she could finally pick up the phone and call Ollie and make sure he wasn't in the neighborhood yet.
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Chloe stretched next to Oliver in her sleep, taking a deep breath as she shifted on the bed, opening her eyes slowly after a long moment, not at all surprised to see he was already awake and looking at her.

She smiled softly and cocked her head a little before murmuring quietly, "morning."
chloesullivan: (squinting/suspicious)
After Chloe met with Mia, she still had about half an hour before Lea and Noah got out of school, so she stepped into her car, which she had parked in the school parking lot, and waited, but she was too restless to just wait, so she picked up her phone and pressed '1' on her speed dial, pursing her lips together and waiting for her husband to pick it up.
chloesullivan: (looking up)
After their meeting with Tess, Chloe and Oliver made their way back to the Watchtower. Her hand still in his as they walked out of the elevator and through the door of the top floor.

Chloe wasn't surprised to find Mia there, punching the punching bag full force. With a deep breath, Chloe glanced over at Ollie then looked back at Mia.

"We're back." She announced.

[posting order: Ollie, Mia, Chloe.]
chloesullivan: (Worried)
Not long after Chloe walked into the Planet that morning, she was already rushing out. She was just going through her morning routine, sipping on her coffee and reading the usual papers, when she saw the headline: Green Arrow injured during rescue on one of the local Star City papers.

She grabbed her purse and rushed right out the door, dialing his number even as she made her way outside, her heart beating fast, she hadn't bothered reading the article, she was going to talk to him first.
chloesullivan: (Worried leaning on elbows)
Since the last time she saw him, Chloe couldn't get Oliver out of her head. That wasn't exactly unusual for her, since the first time, when he grabbed her off of the kitchen counter, he had been in her mind constantly, especially at night, when she was on her own and couldn't sleep because she couldn't stop thinking about him and how he could make her feel.

But this time, it had nothing to do with his prowess in bed and all to do with the things he said before he left to Star City.

As hard as she tried to ignore it, she couldn't seem to, she couldn't seem to forget the way he looked at her when he was telling her those things, he sincerely believed she could be good for someone, that she could be good for him.

On top of that, he told him he had fallen for her and he was willing to ignore how he felt for the sake of their friendship. Like she had before. And now she was putting him through what she had gone through and she felt awful about it, especially because she knew he was thinking she was doing this because she didn't return his feelings.

And she didn't, because she wasn't allowing herself to, because she had the feeling that if she let herself go, she would fall for him. Hard. And that scared her.

Chloe didn't know which was worse, she couldn't seem to decide it, but until them, she wanted to make sure he was okay, even if her instincts told her to pull away from him as far as she could, she simply couldn't do that to him.

They had been emailing back and forth a couple of times a day, not as often as they used to, but since today she hadn't heard from him all day, when she got home, she picked up the phone and called him. She didn't know what to say, but she needed to check in.
chloesullivan: (Oh please smile)
Chloe still couldn't believe the woman had agreed to rent her this apartment for the amount she was willing to pay. And she knew she would never have gotten it, especially not right away, without credit check or anything if it hadn't been for Oliver being there with her.

In less than thirty minutes, it was done. From when they walked into the apartment complex's office, to now, where she and Oliver were standing, looking around the new place, the key to the apartment in her hand, it all happened so fast, her head was spinning. And it was even cheaper than the crappy place she was at now, in a better location, bigger and the best part of it? It was on the top floor.

She took a deep breath and turned to look at him, "I don't know how you managed, but thank you."
chloesullivan: (Sigh)
Chloe sighed, annoyed as she pushed a box out of the way to get to the pile of boxes behind it, she had refused to unpack, even if she had been at that place for almost three weeks now. She was moving as soon as her six month contract was up because she hated it.

She didn't mind the fact that it was small, about the size of the guest bedroom in the clock tower, but the fact that it was close to campus made it almost impossible to be at work at a decent time without fighting the ridiculous amounts of morning traffic, on top of that, she had neighbors upstairs that liked to have sex. A lot. All night. Every night. And she could hear all of it.

Frowning, she opened the box, she was looking for a specific shirt she wanted to wear to work that hadn't been in any of her work clothes boxes and she remembered packing it so it had to be there somewhere.

Just as she started going through the box, she stilled when she heard the knock on the door, she wasn't expecting anyone so she figured it was Lois, "coming," she called as she tried to make her way through the boxes and to the door.
chloesullivan: (Watchtower - Determined)
Chloe took a deep breath and looked around at the other three, pursing her lips together. She didn't feel very confident about this, but they had no choice. Clark, AC, Dinah and Vic were unavailable and they couldn't risk wasting time and trying to contact them. They had to get Mia.

She adjusted the communicator in her ear and held Ollie's gaze. If they were going down, at least they would be together this time.

Bart had already found the place where Mia was and Oliver had called an unexpected ally: Zatanna. For all they knew about Slade, he was invincible. He could regenerate faster than they could hurt him, even Clark and Bart as far as the information they had gotten, mostly from Dinah.

Chloe just hoped magic could hurt him, otherwise, none of them were coming out of this alive.

"Ready?"
chloesullivan: (Thoughtful smile)
After she dropped Mia off at the school, Chloe made her way to Blockbuster, as promised. She had picked out a variety of movies, including a Bruce Lee one for Ollie and Mia to watch together once they had time. The clerk had assured her it was the best one and by the way he went on and on about it, Chloe believed him. She was almost sorry she asked by the time she finally managed to get out of the store.

Once that was done, she made her way back to the Watchtower, it was going to be nice to have some time alone with Ollie, she hadn't really had a lot of that since he got back, not quiet alone time anyway.

But she wasn't holding her breath that it would last long, if at all. She fully expected something to come up, that was just the way their lives were.
chloesullivan: (Frown)
Chloe didn't get it. It just made no sense at all. Why would Oliver send her flowers? And at the Planet nonetheless.

They had been delivered that afternoon, a huge bouquet of tulips in every imaginable color. Bright colors. Colors that made everyone in the office stop and ask her who they were from. By the end of the day, Chloe's answer of choice: 'a friend' had caused more gossip than she would have liked.

The only good thing about it was that Jimmy looked pissed every time he glanced at the flowers. Not that she cared what he thought, it was his own fault for choosing Kara over her.

Still, she needed answers, which was why as soon as she got back to the clock tower with the massive bouquet and managed to place it over the counter, she pulled her phone up and called Oliver.
chloesullivan: (Looking up and smiling)
Chloe looked up from her laptop when she heard the elevator and barely had time to place the computer on the coffee table before Mocha jumped on the couch and on her lap, "hey, look who is home," she laughed, closing her eyes and turning her head as Mocha tried to lick her face.

She reached and started patting the dog until she calmed down and Chloe didn't have a ball of fur in front of her face anymore, so she finally saw Ollie, "and you're here too." She teased softly, smiling up at him.
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Chloe shifted in her sleep a little, starting to wake up slowly until she felt him and stilled. His leg and arm were above her and he was laying behind her, holding her tightly. She shifted her legs a little and smiled. They were sore and his naked body pressing against hers told her it hadn't been a dream.

She opened her eyes a little and looked at the clock. It was almost eleven and she hadn't slept so well in a very long time. Her body felt incredibly relaxed and she sighed deeply and closed her eyes again. She wasn't ready to wake up.
chloesullivan: (Staring blankly)
With a deep sigh, Chloe rubbed a hand over her face and stared at the screen. Nothing. She had been researching for days, she didn't even know how many, and she had not even a single lead on what had been done to Ollie's body.

She didn't know what to think. Couldn't think of a reason why anyone, even Lex, would be keeping the body for so long without bragging about it or trying to blackmail them somehow. She was exhausted, she hadn't managed to sleep more than a couple of hours a night and when she did, it was a restless sleep, at that point, she was just hoping they could find him soon to be able to give him a proper burial and give Mia and the others some closure.

Mia, who had been punching the dummy the boys brought over from the training room for the last hour. There was a rhythm to the punch that was so constant, Chloe had managed to tune it out completely until she turned to look at the younger girl who had one objective in mind for the last week: revenge.

Rubbing a hand over her face, Chloe turned to the computer once more, she had to make progress soon.

(Posting order: Chloe, Mia, Ollie.)
chloesullivan: (Sleeping)
Lois had left for Smallville to grab some things so she could stay in the Watchtower until this was over. Chloe knew Lois was worried about her and to be honest, she would feel better to know Lois was around and not staying by herself in the apartment where Lex could find her so easily.

Clark and Mia were downstairs, training and Chloe had already let everyone know they would have a meeting in a few more hours. She was alone.

She planned on laying down for a while, since she had been going on over forty hours without sleep, but as she reached the top of the stairs, she looked toward his room and paused for a full moment before walking in that direction.

Chloe opened the door slowly and held her breath as she turned the light on. The suitcase he had taken to Star City was still open on the floor by the door, half unpacked. She had called him to go have lunch with him and Mia when he was working on unpacking it.

She closed the door behind herself and stepped inside, her eyes tearing up as she saw his uniform handing on the door of the closet. She walked over to it and touched the thick green leather. Wondering if he would have been able to survive if he had been wearing that instead of the shirt he had on.

Her hand was shaking and she pulled it back slowly, turning to look around the room, her eyes fell on the bed, it wasn't made and she wished she had slipped into his room two nights ago. His dad's journal was on the bedside table but she didn't move it. Instead, she slipped under the covers, grabbing the extra pillow he normally didn't use and laying her head on it then pulling the pillow he did use tightly against her chest and closing her eyes.

She was just going to lay down there for a while. She didn't want Mia to see her there.
chloesullivan: (Looking up and smiling)
She was starting to feel heavy, like Lea was doubling size every day, and she knew it was going to get a lot worse in the next three months. But she didn't mind. At all. Dr. Hamilton had been checking on her a lot more often now and the baby was perfect, healthy and strong. And that was all that mattered.

Still, it made getting dressed harder, but somehow, she had managed. Ollie had gone to Queen Industries to sign some contracts and although he should be back soon, Chloe planned on walking over to the Planet to say hi to Lois and Clark, mostly to get out for a while, but also because she hadn't been there that week yet and she wanted to make sure everything was going smoothly.
chloesullivan: (I... don't know...)
Chloe did try to go to bed, for all of five minutes, before she gave up. She was a little restless, even though she liked Star City a lot and was glad to be there with Mia and Ollie, knowing that she had to meet with Zod soon and find out more about their project was making her anxious to go back.

So she opened the door and peered outside, sighing relieved when she saw a light on in the room across the hall from hers, Ollie's room.

Quietly, she walked up to the door and knocked on it as lightly as she could.
chloesullivan: (Staring blankly)
After Oliver left, Chloe heard him stepping on the rooftop and knew he was going on patrol. Which meant she knew he was going to be gone for a couple of hours at least. She went downstairs and checked on Mia, who, as far as she could tell, was asleep, then went back to Oliver's room, sat down on his bed and waited for him.

She knew he was angry and she knew she had lost control of her temper too, so she didn't want to leave things the way they were. She was tired of arguing with Oliver because of Tess, she was tired of Oliver hurting because of Tess and she was done giving the other woman that kind of power.
chloesullivan: (Just a scratch)
After her fight with Tess, Chloe left the Planet pretty much the same way she went in. Her hands shaking with anger, her jaw tight and she was seeing red. Except this time, she wasn't sure who she was angrier with. Tess, Oliver or herself.

She saw Oliver's car parked up front but ignore it. She was going to walk back to the Watchtower for the same reason she had walked to the Planet: to try and calm herself down.

To say she was a mess was an understatement, there was blood all over the front of her coat from when her nose started bleeding, her back was already starting to get sore, her face was hurting in general and the cold wind wasn't helping. Her head was also pounding but that wasn't just because of the injuries. She had no choice but to walk back slowly.
