One moment, he was standing, and the next, he was falling, fear shooting through him involuntarily even as he fell backwards instead of forward and down to the ground below.
A startled yelp escaped him as his back slammed onto the roof's hard concrete pavement and he shut his eyes, trying to catch his breath.
