The snow storm was past them and the boys had been working on the new floor, which would be for Lois, most of the day and had wanted to patrol. But Oliver had stayed behind with Chloe and Lois and now they were just waiting for Clark to get back from an emergency call so Lois could finally fill them in on what they needed to know.
Chloe was still nervous about them finding out more about the future, but the fact that this future Lois had come from clearly wasn't exactly the same as theirs did comfort her a little because then maybe, whatever bad that had happened might not happen in their present.
With a deep breath, she shifted on the couch and looked towards the window that Clark had left through, "I wonder how long he will be."

When Lois spoke again, she turned to look at her, the hint of a smile on her lips, it was really good to have Lois back and even better that she was going to help her knock some sense into Oliver and Clark when necessary.
"Lois is right," she agreed, "enough with self-sacrificing heroic acts," she looked between the two men too, "we need to stick together and be smart about this, there is no point in risking ourselves more than we need to."
Finally, she stood up, a hand rubbing her stomach unconsciously as she tried to think, "our main goal right now needs to be stopping Lex from making his public appearance and hopefully his nomination, but we need a backup plan if we can't stop him and the only thing I can think of is backing someone who is running against him."
She turned to her cousin again, her eyes squinting slightly as she tried to think of more options, "who are his opponents and is there anyone we can trust?"

"I'm not risking her life like that, I can't be with her 24/7 Chloe, and I'm not putting her in the spotlight like that, not against Lex." His father had run against Lex years ago and had won, and he had died the night he was elected. He wouldn't lose his mother too.

"We can look into the other man's background and see if we can go in that direction."
