Twelve days of Christmas with [livejournal.com profile] dl_greenarrow

She couldn't wait to get home, not only because she was incredibly curious about whatever gift Ollie had waiting for her, but also because she was on vacation and that meant time with him without worrying about work or anything, and then they would leave to Smallville, which she had no doubt would be nice, with Lois, Clark, Lucy, Mrs. Kent and her dad around, it would be a good Christmas.

Shifting restlessly between her feet, she watched the numbers as the elevator went up impatiently, stepping out and looking around, "Ollie?"

"She's ten weeks. She'll need her next round of shots in a couple weeks," he told her. "I've researched some vets in Metropolis, too." He rose to his feet and moved to the kitchen, picking up a folder off the counter and then moving to sit beside her once more. "There are quite a few that come pretty highly recommended by the shelter I adopted her from."

If it was possible, she smiled even more, "you adopted her? That's so great, Ollie," shifting the puppy, she looked down at her, "I guess we'll have to look at the vets, I only know the one Clark takes Shelby to, but that's in Grandville."

"If that's where you want to go, I'm fine with that," he told her with a slight nod. He smiled at her softly, then looked down at the puppy. "She needs a name."

Chloe made a face and shook her head, "it's too long a drive, we will find someone in the city." She told him then nodded, smiling, at the puppy then at Oliver, "any suggestions?"

Oliver studied the puppy for a moment, then shook his head a little. "I've been trying to think of names since I met her a couple weeks ago, but nothing I've come up with seems to suit her. Maybe you'll have better luck." He leaned back on the sofa, draping an arm around Chloe's shoulders and pressing a kiss to her temple.

Chloe moved closer to him and watched as the dog moved so she was laying on both their laps, "well I refuse to call her Lessie," she grinned, turning to look at Oliver.
