Twelve days of Christmas with [livejournal.com profile] dl_greenarrow

She couldn't wait to get home, not only because she was incredibly curious about whatever gift Ollie had waiting for her, but also because she was on vacation and that meant time with him without worrying about work or anything, and then they would leave to Smallville, which she had no doubt would be nice, with Lois, Clark, Lucy, Mrs. Kent and her dad around, it would be a good Christmas.

Shifting restlessly between her feet, she watched the numbers as the elevator went up impatiently, stepping out and looking around, "Ollie?"

"Well, it's all true," she told him, laying her head against his shoulder and looking at the dog, "maybe we should call her 'Queen'."

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oliver raised an eyebrow, amused. "Or Princess."

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Making a face, she shook her head, "I am so not calling the dog princess, that's offensive," she was mostly teasing about the offensive part, but she was serious about the princess part.

His other eyebrow raised. "It's offensive? It's a royal position." There was the slightest hint of amusement in his tone.

Chloe shook her head, "princesses are usually damsels in distress and this pup is much better than that."

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
He couldn't help but grin at her reasoning, and he nodded slightly. "All right. So not Princess." He smiled down at the puppy, who'd fallen asleep on their laps.

She kept patting the dog and watched her, shaking her head, "she kinda looks like a mix between a bear and a fox."

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Oliver studied the pup for a moment. "I've sort of been calling her Furball so far." He grinned.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Chloe laughed softly and cocked her head, "you wanna name her Furball?"

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, no." He grinned at her. "I love that." He gazed at her.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
She raised her eyebrows a little and smiled, "love what?"

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
"The sound of your laughter," he admitted.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
With a smile, she leaned closer, doing her best not to move too much because of the puppy and kissed him gently, watching him when she pulled back.

He smiled softly, meeting and holding her gaze. "I love you," he whispered. He thought briefly of the ring that was in the drawer of his computer desk and for a moment his heart beat just a bit faster. It was so tempting to ask her now. But he would wait. New Year's Eve was only a few more days from then.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
"I love you too," she whispered, smiling up at him, "and I do have a gift for you tonight, something I want you to open when it's just the two of us, but I'd hate to wake the nameless puppy to go get it."

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
He grinned at her, looking down at said nameless puppy. "She does seem pretty comfy. It'd be a shame to wake her." He looked back at Chloe once more, his eyes bright. "Did you have any favorites?" he asked softly, curious about which of the gifts she liked the best.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Chloe chewed on her bottom lip, thinking, "well, the one laying on our laps is definitely a favorite already," she told him with a smile, "the tickets too, oh and I loved the earrings and the watch... it's hard to choose."

Oliver smiled softly, resting his head against the back of the sofa. Truth be told, he was sad that the twelve days of Christmas were now over. He enjoyed shopping for her, leaving her little gifts to find, even though after the first she had known there were eleven more to come.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Cocking her head slightly, she turned to look at him and smiled, enjoying the look on his face, "I hope you like your gifts, but I'm sure it won't be as good as this."

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
He lifted a hand to her cheek, his thumb grazing over it gently. "Well, having you here with me is really the best gift I could have asked for," he said softly.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Her face softened and she took his hand that was over her shoulder in hers and squeezed it, nodding softly, "same goes to you." She whispered.

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
He leaned closer to her and kissed her softly, his eyes drifting shut.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
She kissed him back, shifting slightly closer to him then breaking the kiss when she felt the puppy move and sit up, "I'm sorry, we woke you up," she said quietly, reaching down and patting the puppy.

[identity profile] dl-greenarrow.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Oliver smiled as the puppy whined a little, wagged her tail and then licked Chloe's cheek. "I think that means you're forgiven," he teased.

[identity profile] chloeas.livejournal.com 2009-12-24 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
She laughed softly and picked the puppy up, "well, thank you, good to know you forgive easily." With a glance at Ollie, she moved the dog to his lap gently, "now I can get up to get your gift."
