Nightmares with [livejournal.com profile] dl_greenarrow and <lj site="livejournal.com" user

Chloe was late by fifteen minute, she told Ollie she would be back to the clocktower at eight, but Lois caught her just as she was about to leave work and she couldn't exactly pretend not to notice her cousin, she had been getting suspicious by Chloe's evasiveness as it was.

To her surprise, Ollie hadn't called her the second she was late, he had been understandably tense by everything that was going on. As she stepped out of the elevator, she frowned at the darkness, all lights were off in the clocktower, something wasn't right.

"Ollie?" She called carefully, turning the living room light on. No sign of him, her heart started beating faster as she dropped her purse on the floor and started turning every light she could on, looking into each and every room, calling his name.

"Ollie!" Her voice was getting more desperate at every room she looked into, and then, finally, she went to the master bedroom, her stomach turning at what she saw there.

There was a big dark red stain on the sheets, the bedside lamp had been shattered to pieces, and in the middle of the messy bed lay a single piece of paper. Chloe rushed towards it, already dreading the worst.

You shouldn't have betrayed me, Chloe.

She gasped as she read the words, she didn't need a signature to know who the note was from. Davis. Davis had Ollie and he was hurt, bleeding, she had to find him, she had to help him, she only hoped she wasn't too late.

Not moving sounded like a good plan to him considering the slight movement of his head made him want to throw up. "What's going on?" he murmured, closing his eyes once more. There was a sharp pain in his stomach that he fought to ignore.

She saw the pained look on his face and started pulling harder at her hands, she had to get to him, "Davis," she looked around to make sure he wasn't there, "he, he brought you here then came back for me."

At that name, he jolted awake, gasping involuntarily as pain shot through him. He cursed under his breath as his stomach rolled and he threw up--combination of the pain and the sickening smell of death that was all around them.

It took him a moment to stop heaving but when he did, he shuddered involuntarily. "Are you hurt?"

Wincing, she looked around to make sure that the noise hadn't alerted Davis, tugging even harder at the ropes, she couldn't feel her wrists anymore, "no, I'm okay." She whispered, gasping when the ropes started to loosen around her arms.

"If you get loose, get out of here," he whispered, struggling against his chains.

She frowned as she freed her hands, pushing herself up and rushing towards him, "I'm not leaving without you." Stopping herself from going to comfort him, she started examining his chains instead, they would have time for that later. The chains were rusted, if she had something to use against it, she could free him.

"Chloe, listen to me," he whispered, looking up at her with tired eyes. "Get out of here and get help. Find Clark."

"No." She insisted, looking around nervously, "if he finds out I'm gone, he will kill you." Part of her knew he was right, that she should go get help, but he was completely defenseless, she couldn't leave him there. Davis had caused enough damage as it was and it was all her fault.
