Goodbyes.

After the tips Tess gave her, Chloe gathered as much information as she could. Rick Flag was apparently dead, but according to Tess, this organization he worked for was off the books and anyone could fake their own death, she had done it herself when she was sixteen.

She had spent hours watching the new location and sure enough, the woman who had tortured Ollie for hours showed up and Chloe took a deep breath. She wanted to kill that woman with her bare hands, but she knew she had to focus on getting him out instead.

None of this would have happened if she hadn't fallen asleep when she was supposed to be watching his back, none of it would have happened because she would have sent Bart in before they could hurt him. But it was too late now and she had to fix it herself, no matter the price.

Once she had formulated a plan, or as much of a plan as she could without knowing much about these people or this organization, she changed into warmer clothes and with a deep breath, placed a single sheet of paper over Oliver's pillow on their bed.

She had no way of knowing how things would go, and considering she had been the one who allowed this to happen, she wanted to at least offer him as much closure as she possibly could, in case she didn't make it back.

The simple letter was hardly everything she wanted to say to him, but it was all she could do in the time constraints.

Ollie,

I hope you can forgive me for both allowing this to happen and for the only way I could find to get you out of this mess. I know this won't be easy on you but I don't want you to blame yourself for anything. This is my choice and while I know that if you were here, you would tell me we had to find another way, there is no other way I can think of. But again, this isn't in any way your fault.

I know I'm being selfish putting you through this, assuming my plan works, but I just couldn't let them have you and risk things getting worse, if they haven't already. I can't go through it again, and I know that neither can Mia. She needs you and I need you to focus on taking care of her and Michael when you get back instead of worrying about me, because I'll be okay.

Lastly, I need you to know that I love you. I love you like I have never loved anyone before and I always will. No matter what happens, I need you to remember what an amazing man you are and I need you to know that I'm incredibly proud of you and so grateful that we got to share a part of our lives with each other.

You made me feel alive again and I could never thank you enough for that, but there are so many other people out there who need you and you can't stop doing all the good you have been doing for years.

You're a hero, Ollie, my hero, but this time there are others who need you more than I do.

Yours, always.

Chloe knew that regardless of what she was trying to tell him in that letter, it wasn't going to stop him from trying to find her, but she could still hope that it would eventually make him realize he had to move on.

With her stomach and chest tight, she placed her phone next to the paper, she knew how helpful it was with everything she had installed in it, but most importantly, it was the only way he would have to somehow tracked her and the last thing she needed was for both of them to be caught by those people.

With one last look around, she made her way to the door with nothing but her car key in her pocket. Hopefully this would work out and Oliver would be home, safe soon.
